This Boy Wished for A Star Wars Themed Funeral. The Pictures are Tear-jerking.

Most parents would plan for their kid’s birthday and would let them choose the theme for that. But the parents of Jack Robinsons of Hampshire, England kid could no longer plan for his birthday. He was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. Since they all know that he would soon rest eternally, he had a list of things he wanted to do and part of the list is his wish to have a Star Wars themed funeral.

Jack’s idol is Doctor Who’s Matt Smith who gave him a message through a video. Guess this is one of his wishes which was granted by the actor.

The order of service read: ‘Master Jack Robinson, joined the force 1st April 2014’. Seen in this image is R2D2 standing on the entrance of the church.

His carriage was covered floral tributes, including one reading ‘Jedi’ and wreaths in the shape of a lightsaber, Yoda and R2-D2. This little Jedi was guarded by some Star Wars warrior too.

Jack’s loved ones and all the other people who cared for him joined the funeral. While inside the church a brass band played the film’s The Binary Sunset music which is known as Luke Skywalker’s theme.

This is one funeral that is truly heartbreaking especially for his parents and those who knew Jack. Despite his short life for only 4 and 1/2 years, he was able to spend it like he had a lifetime like that of others. I sure hope Jack got everything done from his bucket list because he deserves all the joy he can get. I could see how hard it was for his parents to organize this funeral, not because of the theme but because of the thought that instead of organizing a Star Wars birthday party, this is what they are doing. But I know his parents are proud of what Jack was able to do when he was still alive, “he brought people together, from all over the world”.
